A celebrated scholar with over 100 published research papers, he is a Fellow of the ACM, IEEE, and AAAS. He is a member and past vice-chair of the IFIP WG 10.4.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jahanian earned his Ph.D. in computer science from The University of Texas at Austin and holds faculty appointments in CMU&#8217;s School of Computer Science, College of Engineering, and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.<\/p>\n<p>The NAE will formally induct the Class of 2026 at its Annual Meeting in October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IFIP Working Group 10.4 is pleased to congratulate Dr. Farnam Jahanian on his election to the National Academy of Engineering&#8217;s 2026 class.
